Dr. Tiffany Chen’s journey to dentistry has taken her across the globe. Originally from Taiwan, she is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese. She earned her dental degree from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2006, and then practiced dentistry in Taiwan for 12 years before making Calgary her new home.
Dr. Chen’s passion for detail and working with her hands, combined with a love for interacting with people, led her to dentistry. She enjoys all facets of dental care, with particular interests in root canal treatments, extractions, and orthodontics.
As an amateur triathlete, Dr. Chen embodies perseverance and dedication, qualities that served her well in achieving her Canadian dental certification. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and exploring new places, as well as relaxing with a good show on Netflix.
Dr. Susan Lafleur has been providing dental care to Calgarians for over thirty years. She enjoys general family dentistry including fillings, root canals, crowns, dentures and has a special interest in Bioclear restorations (getting rid of black triangles!).
Dr. Susan Lafleur graduated with her dental degree from Western University in London, Ontario.
When she is not at work, Dr. Susan can be found spending time with her husband and sons, cycling and golfing and hanging out with numerous pets.
Dr. Suprabha Pabbi-Doad is a dedicated dental professional with a global perspective and a passion for patient-centered care. After completing her education in India, she moved to Canada in 2012 to pursue a Master’s in Global Health. Her commitment to excellence led her through the National Dental Equivalency Process, culminating in her Canadian dental license.
Dr. Supra is known for her warm and welcoming approach, ensuring that every patient feels comfortable and heard. She believes in fostering positive dental experiences by prioritizing patient well-being and education. Through open communication, she helps patients make informed decisions about their dental health, building lasting relationships based on trust and compassion.
Fluent in English, Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu, Dr. Supra values clear and effective communication, allowing her to connect with a diverse range of patients.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Supra embraces the beauty of nature. She enjoys hiking and camping in the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, where she creates cherished memories with her husband, daughter, and son.

Andrea has over 30 years of experience in the dental field, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as Office Manager at West 17th Avenue Dental Care. Growing up she worked in a dental office with her father, who was a dedicated dentist, developing a deep appreciation for patient care and the inner workings of a dental practice from an early age. With a strong background in both clinical and administrative aspects of dentistry, Andrea is committed to ensuring the office runs smoothly while creating a welcoming environment for patients and staff alike.
Her attention to detail, organizational skills, and passion for exceptional service help support the clinic’s mission of providing top-quality dental care. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys reading, baking, and spending quality time with her family. Her warm personality and dedication to patient satisfaction make her an integral part of the West 17th Avenue Dental Care team.
Ashley has been a valued member of our dental family since 2022, working alongside Andrea to warmly welcome patients and help keep things running smoothly at the front desk. She earned her Dental Administrative Assistant Diploma in 2017 and has been dedicated to helping patients feel informed and at ease with their dental care ever since.
Outside the office, Ashley is passionate about wellness and creativity. She became a Registered Yoga Teacher in 2021 and shares her practice at a local mental health centre on weekends. She also enjoys creating art, spending time in nature (the Rockies are her favourite), caring for her growing collection of houseplants, and going on adventures with her dog, Ferguson.
Angela began her dental career over 20 years ago as a Registered Dental Assistant and has been a valued member of the West 17th Ave Dental Care team since 2004. She is passionate about educating and supporting patients throughout their dental journey, helping them feel comfortable and confident in their care.
Committed to ongoing learning, Angela regularly participates in continuing education to stay current with the latest in dental health and patient care.
Born and raised in Calgary, Angela is a devoted mother to her daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys all things health and wellness and treasures time spent with family and friends.
Phyllis grew up in a small town in Alberta with a passion for the dental industry. She graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at NAIT in 1987 and has enjoyed working in all aspects of dentistry ever since. With a warm and caring approach, she loves getting to know each patient and takes pride in being part of a team that helps them leave with a smile.
Phyllis has been a valued member of West 17th Avenue Dental Care since 2022, bringing her extensive experience and dedication to patient care every day.
Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her three grandchildren—with a fourth on the way in April 2025. She also loves playing tennis and golf, traveling, and playing cards.
Anna is a Registered Dental Hygienist who has been practicing since graduating in 2014. Her career in dentistry began as a dental assistant, where she discovered her passion for dental hygiene. Dedicated to providing high-quality care, Anna takes pride in ensuring her patients feel comfortable and well-informed about their oral health. With a gentle and professional approach, she strives to create a positive experience for every patient she treats.
Karen is a registered dental hygienist who graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta. She is dedicated to providing the highest quality care while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. Known for her kindness, gentle touch, and meticulous attention to detail, she consistently earns praise from patients for her compassionate approach.
Outside the office, Karen enjoys experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and exploring different crafts and hobbies. Her energetic kids keep her active, with weekends often spent skating, swimming, and hiking.
Gemma brings nearly two decades of experience in the dental field to West 17th Avenue Dental Care. With a background that includes dental assisting and front office roles, she has a well-rounded understanding of patient care and clinic flow.
As a registered dental hygienist, Gemma is passionate about helping patients achieve optimal oral health. She values the connections built through ongoing care and finds it incredibly rewarding when patients leave the chair smiling and share how fresh and clean their mouth feels.
