Before your first appointment, we recommend you bring a valid government-issued ID, your insurance card (if you have one), a list of current medications, and any previous dental records or X-rays. If you are eligible, bring your Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) or NIHB benefit card to help with dental coverage. We suggest arriving 10 minutes early to complete forms and register your parking at the front desk. You are welcome to write down questions or bring a support person if it helps you feel comfortable. If you experience dental anxiety, please let us know so we can provide understanding and solutions to help you feel at ease.

What Happens During Your First Dental Appointment
At your first visit, your appointment begins with a review of your medical and dental history, including medications and any recent health changes. We then carry out a comprehensive oral examination, digital X-rays when clinically indicated, a professional cleaning, and an oral cancer screening. Our exams follow Alberta guidelines, and we only take X-rays when necessary.
After your exam and cleaning, we talk together about your oral health and recommend a personalized treatment plan for you. If we identify any dental issues, we explain exactly what we found, show you your X-rays or photos, and discuss all possible treatment options in simple terms. You are never pressured; we want you to make an informed decision about your dental care. Our practice never judges if you haven’t seen a dentist in years; we focus on helping you move forward, not on the past.

Our clinic is open six days a week and offers free parking for your convenience. We direct bill most major insurance plans and only ask you to pay your portion. If you have dental anxiety, we offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oral sedation for your safety and comfort.
Children's First Dental Visits
For children’s first dental visits, we keep things gentle and friendly, focus on examining teeth, gums, and jaw development, and may provide preventive care like fluoride when needed. Parents are welcome to join their child during the visit, and the environment is designed to be welcoming and stress-free for children.
We accept the CDCP and eligible children receive covered preventive dental care.
